As a big lover of urban scenery, when I was visiting Warsaw, I decided to go see the more authentic parts of the city, so I crossed the bridge to Praga neighborhood, which is a more ragged part of town than the city center or the old town area. A neighborhood that has never been fully reconstructed after the war, and has a lot of street art.
While strolling through the streets of Praga I went to grab lunch at Eden Bistro, a beautiful vegan restaurant located within a pastoral garden. When I found this place I was amazed by the green surrounding and noticed right away the adorable greenhouse just in front of the entrance, selling all sorts of plants. The weather was really nice, so I set down at the tables in the garden. Apart from the outdoor tables there are also a lot of seating options inside. The indoor space is a mansion with a few different levels with different ambiance. The restaurant is a chic space with a big luxurious bar at the front, Persian rugs, colorful nooks and more.
As I came in during lunch time, I was offered the lunch special, which included homemade lemonade, the daily meal and a dessert. I decided to try that instead of choose off the fixed menu. The main course was a version of a poke bowl with rice, tofu, string beans, cauliflower, cabbage and peanut sauce. The tastes were balanced and delicate, and the entire dish was delicious. The dessert was some sort of scone or a Polish traditional pastry. It had berry jam on top. While the jam was good, the pastry itself was a little bit too dry for my liking (but I’m not a scone person). All in all I enjoyed the meal, but even more so the entire experience – the atmosphere was lovely, the place is beautiful and the staff was friendly and offered a quick service.
If you are looking for an enjoyable vegan dinning experience in Warsaw and specifically in Praga, I would very much recommend this place! Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am-10pm, Sundays from 10am-6pm and Mondays from 12pm-10pm.
